She's Kind of a Big Deal...

Well, the time had come- my little sister has graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in acting. She has been acting ever since I can remember and I am proud to say that I was one of the very first VIPs that used to pay to watch her perform in our living room. It was a quarter per couch cushion and we didn't even get to choose which one- those were assigned for us and written on our tickets! She's certainly come a long way since then- she's moved on to a stage and the ticket price has certainly increased!
My parents threw her a great themed party. Everyone had their picture taken when they walked down the red carpet by the paparazzi that would pop out of the bushes when a guest arrived. They were also given Backstage Passes with one of four pictures of my sister which they wore around the event- Chelsea even gave autographs upon request.

I had started planning her cake months before the party and decided that I was going to make it as unique as possible. What you can't tell from the picture is that that paparazzis' cameras actually lit up and blinked to look exactly as if they were snapping pictures of the a-lister. The lights stayed on for the entire party!
Chelsea Laine arriving with Kevin- or should we call them Chelsvin?
Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the blinking lights in the picture but you can see the lower left-hand camera that is lit up compared to the top right-hand camera.

My sister in fondant complete with diploma in hand.

Bundles of Baby Blessings

This two tiered cake has 10-inch and 8-inch double layers and was made for a very special
baby shower that I also attended.
The mommy-to-be had planned on "one day having one of my cakes at her shower" before she was even pregnant! :)
What you can't tell from this picture is that it actually survived 5 hours in the car- traveling from Revere to Worcester to Long Island, NY!!! The shower was beautiful and I was happy to have been able to add to it!
